A CONNECTED SOLUTION FOR ARC FLASH READINESS
Get Arc Flash Audit-Ready with Better Field Data, Studies & Labels
Electrical engineering teams use Egalvanic to capture and track electrical asset data in the field in real time, then use that record to support e-Hazard arc flash audits, studies, calculations, PPE recommendations, and equipment labeling. Technicians photograph equipment, update the digital one-line, and record settings on site. Egalvanic AI can read breaker and nameplate information from photos, match equipment to the SKM library, extract settings, and flag uncertain values for human review. Engineers can review incoming data before the field team leaves. e-Hazard then performs the study and calculations in SKM PowerTools and delivers labels, PPE guidance, and related 70E services. Together the two keep a living electrical record that also supports 70B maintenance as equipment changes.

ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP
About the Solution
WHAT DOES EGALVANIC DO?
Arc Flash Software for Readiness in the Field

Before the study, field teams use the Egalvanic app on mobile or tablet to capture what engineering needs while the technician is still on site: digital one-lines, connected assets, nameplate photos, equipment data, and IR scans attached to the right asset. Egalvanic AI can read nameplate and breaker information from those photos, match equipment to the SKM library, extract settings, and flag low-confidence values for human review instead of accepting them silently.
The app works offline and syncs when a connection returns. With connectivity, office engineers can review incoming data in near real time and catch missing settings, unclear photos, or incomplete records before the technician leaves — instead of discovering the gap days later and sending another truck. The resulting one-line and asset data move into SKM PowerTools or EasyPower for the engineering study. ETAP is available through an SKM-format export and ETAP’s translator.
WHAT DOES E-HAZARD DO?
Arc Flash Audits, Studies, Calculations & Labels

Once the electrical record is organized, e-Hazard handles the engineering and electrical-safety side. An arc flash audit may be an engineering study, an NFPA 70E electrical-safety audit, or both, including a review of labeling, PPE, work practices, training, and broader electrical-safety compliance. Arc flash studies evaluate the electrical distribution system and should be reviewed at intervals not exceeding five years, and sooner when changes to equipment, settings, or system configuration could affect the results.
e-Hazard engineers run the arc flash calculations in SKM PowerTools, including short-circuit analysis, protective-device coordination, incident energy, and arc flash boundaries. Those results become equipment-specific labels and arc-rated PPE guidance. e-Hazard also delivers NFPA 70E training so the team can use the labels correctly.
Between studies, the same living record supports e-Hazard’s NFPA 70B program with Egalvanic.
Between studies: Egalvanic keeps the one-line, assets, IR scan data, photos, settings, and maintenance history current between studies, so the next e-Hazard review starts with better field information.
4 STEP WORKFLOW
How Egalvanic + e-Hazard Create an Arc Flash Audit-Ready Workflow
A connected workflow from field asset data and digital one-lines to engineering calculations, equipment labels, PPE guidance, and an electrical record that stays current. Arc flash readiness starts with knowing what is actually installed in the field. Egalvanic helps electrical teams capture and maintain that information, while e-Hazard turns it into the engineering study, calculations, equipment labels, PPE recommendations, and electrical-safety guidance needed at the facility.
Capture the Electrical System
Technicians track assets, photos, nameplates, breaker settings, connections, and the digital one-line in Egalvanic. Engineers review in real time while the tech is still on site.
Perform the Arc Flash Study
Site data moves into the engineering workflow. e-Hazard performs the arc flash study and calculations in SKM PowerTools, including incident energy, short-circuit, and protective-device analysis.
Label the Equipment & Prepare the Team
Study results become equipment labels, arc flash boundary information, PPE recommendations, and engineering guidance. e-Hazard can also provide NFPA 70E training and electrical-safety audits.
Keep the Site Arc Flash Ready
After the study, Egalvanic keeps the one-line, asset data, photos, settings, and maintenance history current as the facility changes. The next arc flash review starts from a living record instead of a rebuild, while the same data also supports ongoing NFPA 70B maintenance.

How does the Egalvanic + e-Hazard arc flash workflow work?
Egalvanic helps field and engineering teams build and maintain the electrical-system record: digital one-lines, assets, nameplates, breaker and relay settings, equipment photos, IR data, and maintenance history. When an arc flash study is needed, that current system data can support e-Hazard’s engineering workflow. e-Hazard performs the arc flash study and turns the engineering results into actionable safety information, including incident-energy results, arc flash boundaries, PPE recommendations, and equipment labels.
Who performs the arc flash study and calculations?
e-Hazard performs the arc flash study. Engineering software such as SKM PowerTools is used for short-circuit, protective-device coordination, incident-energy, and arc-flash analysis. Egalvanic does not perform the engineering calculations; it maintains the field and asset data used to support the engineering model.
Does Egalvanic work with SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, and ETAP?
Egalvanic supports SKM PowerTools and EasyPower workflows. SKM data can move between Egalvanic and SKM through SKM’s Data Exchange Module so field and asset information can be updated without rebuilding the model from scratch. ETAP currently follows an indirect workflow through an SKM-format export and ETAP’s translation tools, not a confirmed direct Egalvanic integration.
Can technicians build and update one-line diagrams in the field?
Yes. Field teams can use Egalvanic on Android and iOS to create and connect electrical assets and build or update a digital one-line. Technicians can keep working without connectivity and sync later. With connectivity, office engineers can review incoming field information and request missing data or better photos before the technician leaves the site.
What happens after the arc flash study is completed?
Engineering results become labels, incident-energy and boundary information, and PPE requirements for the facility. The electrical system continues to age, change, and require maintenance. Egalvanic maintains the asset inventory, maintenance records, work orders, condition information, and IR data used to support an NFPA 70B electrical maintenance program. That ongoing record gives engineering teams better information for future arc flash reviews and NFPA 70E safety work.
How do infrared scans fit into the workflow?
IR thermography helps identify thermal anomalies and equipment-condition issues; it does not replace an arc flash study. Egalvanic can associate IR images with individual electrical assets and documented issues, including workflows with FLIR cameras. Condition information stays on the same equipment record used by maintenance and engineering.
Who is this partnership designed for?
Electrical engineering and testing firms, electrical contractors and maintenance-service teams, and facility engineering, reliability, maintenance, and EHS teams responsible for electrical infrastructure. It is especially relevant when those teams need to keep one-lines and asset information current between maintenance, studies, equipment changes, and safety reviews.
When should an arc flash study be performed or updated?
Review the study at least every five years, and sooner when electrical-system changes could affect the results — new equipment, changed breaker or protective-device settings, system reconfiguration, facility expansion, or changes in available fault current. A living asset record helps teams see that the installed system has changed since the last study, instead of discovering years later that the one-line, labels, and equipment no longer match.
Ready to Modernize Your Arc Flash Readiness Program?
Move arc flash readiness beyond spreadsheets and static drawings.
Stop rebuilding electrical records from paper, scattered photos, and outdated one-lines. Egalvanic + e-Hazard connect field data and AI-assisted asset capture to arc flash studies, calculations, equipment labels, PPE guidance, and ongoing electrical-safety support.
